I served 10 years as a Combat Engineer in the United States Marines; deploying to Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm as part of a Minefield Breach Team. I have served and led other veteran organizations since leaving the Marines. I am a Nationally Certified Instructor in Mental Health First Aid and QPR(Question, Persuade, Refer), and ASIST(Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) certified. I am a member of the Kansas City VA’s Mental Health Advisory Board and serve as a Veteran Ambassador for the Kansas City Area Development Council. I currently reside in the Greater Kansas City Area with my wife and three children.
Director of Finance
I am a Kansan, who served with the Big Red One at Ft. Riley as well as overseas in Pirmasens, Germany and finally as a reservist in Olathe, KS until 1999. I earned a degree in Accounting from Emporia State University and my CPA. My focus is working with individuals and small businesses in the areas of finance and tax compliance. I have two daughters, aged 15 and 22. The eldest is carrying on the tradition of service, she is a Staff Sergeant in the Air Force Reserves, deploying to Afghanistan in 2013, and currently attending graduate school in North Carolina. The youngest attends high school in Lansing, Kansas.
Director of Veteran Services
I joined the U.S. Army Infantry in October 2003 and was enlisted for almost seven years, attaining the final rank of Sergeant. I have had two combat tours to Iraq, the first was in 2005 where I received a Purple Heart and the Army Commendation Medal. My final deployment was in 2009 and upon returning I separated from the military. Shortly after my military career I began helping soldiers, veterans and the community in a variety of ways including working for the VA, and assisting local non-profits. I live in Topeka with my wonderful family, wife Jessica, two children Andrew and Elijah, as well as my service dog Bosco.
Director of Marketing
I’ve been in broadcasting, advertising and marketing my entire career, with companies such as Westwood One Radio Network and as a professional marketing consultant. I understand what it takes to build the brand and spread the word. The opportunity to do so for Team Fidelis is humbling. My father, Lieutenant J.G. Frank Robert Schultheis, Jr. was so proud of serving in the Navy in World War II. In fact, he would say it was the most important thing he ever did in his life, defending our country. I wake up every day happy and free because of our veterans and it’s an honor to join Team Fidelis to do anything I can to give back.
Director of Training
I served in the US Coast Guard as a Medic. My passion is veterans and medicine. I am certified in tactical and emergency medicine and have worked with State Law Enforcement. My day job is as a Manufacturer’s Rep for MSA, a telecommunications company.
